Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research (RIVER) is a Government College, Located in Puducherry (India). This College was Established in the Year 1994 by Government of Puducherry. Affiliated to Pondicherry University ; Approved by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi ; Recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) (2(f) and 12(B) Status to the Institute under the UGC Act of 1956) and Accredited Grade "B+" by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). Previously, This College was Known as Pondicherry Veterinary College and Also Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAGACOVAS). College is Fully Funded by Government of Puducherry.
