College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS) is Government College, Located in Wayanad (Kerala). This College was Established in the Year 2004. Affiliated to Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Kerala and Approved by VCI, New Delhi & Govt. of India. Campus is Spread Over 100 Acres of Land Area in the Scenic Hilly Terrain Area. College Offers UG, PG & PhD Programmes in Various Specialization.

Mandate :

* Impart quality veterinary education as stipulated by the VCI

* Mould and update qualified Veterinarians and supporting staff

* Train the professionals in modern/emerging fields such as biotechnology, bioinformatics and molecular research

* To undertake need based problem solving research in veterinary and allied sciences

* Disseminate technical knowledge to the rural via technology innovation for the uplift of the northern backward districts

* Function as a referral center in the area of animal production, disease diagnosis and health care

* Conservation and maintenance of indigenous/exotic breeds of livestock and poultry in the agro-climatic conditions of Wayanad
