SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital Dharwad is one of the reputed Private Dental Colleges in Karnataka. The college is popularly known as SDM Dental College Dharwad and was founded in the year 1986-87.
SDM Dental College Dharwad was started to serve students with the best dental care and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
It is affiliated with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. It is the only dental institution that has been accredited with a five-star status by NAAC, a unit of the University Grants Commission.
The college offers UG and PG courses in various specializations; it also provides internships to its students. The total intake for BDS is 100 and that for MDS is 45. The college also has international linkages and accreditation with the Royal College of Physicians and collaboration with Smile Train, USA. There’s an MoU with Tufts University Schools of Dental Medicine, USA.
