Karmakar, Arjuna Awardee, with more than 100 medals at the National
Championships and numerous International medals, Commonwealth Champion,
Australian Open Champion, having represented India in 28 World Cups, 2
Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, 3 World Championships and the only WORLD CUP
Silver medalist in 50-metre Rifle Prone in India. After coming so close to
winning a medal at the 2012 London Olympics, where he came 4th. He has been a
Foreign Coach of West African country Senegal in 2019. With his
treasure-chest 30 years of knowledge in shooting sport, being in association
with innumerable International athletes and coaches, and knowing the sport in
and out, is perhaps the best thing to happen to Bengal Shooting as well. His
experience and knowledge are distributed amongst all who are a part of JKSA.
His excellent mentorship of elite athletes is famous Nationwide.
