West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training

The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration has come into existence by virtue of the Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented by the Governor. The Act has been known as the West Bengal Act XXI of 2014; The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration Act, 2014 (published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, January 16, 2015). The university started its venture with Professor Dr. Mita Banerjee as the first Vice Chancellor who joined the University on the 26th March2015.
