Goverment Polytechnic , Munger. G.P.Munger, Ramankabad, Haweli Kharagpur, District Munger, Bihar-811213 was approved in the Academic Year 2016 (under MHRD sub-mission scheme) for running programmes and subsequent extension of approvals were issued upto Academic Year, 2019-20. This Institute is situated in the flood prone, socially and economically backward area , where maximum inhabitants are from poor classes of people belonging to minorities and Extremely Backward classes , The inhabitants were even not capable to afford the expenditure to get higher education for their children. Natives of this area were managing only basic and school level education for their children but due to non-availability of College in this area the inhabitants had only dream for higher education. Govt. of Bihar realized the need, pain and desire of the down-trodden people of this extremely backward and neglected locality and came up with pious mission to open a technical college in this area. His untiring effort for opening of college started with his huge donation in terms of land and money.
G.P.Munger is approx 45 kilometers away from Jamalpur Railway Station , 55 K.M. away from Bhagalpur Railway station & approx 220 KM away from Patna Railway Station. G.P.Munger is in Munger district. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by Department of Science & Technology, Government of Bihar. The institute is Govt. apporved Institution.
