PMS College

Pairu Mahto Somari College Paharpura, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, a permanent affiliated unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, was established in the year 1978. It is one of the famous multi faculty college located at Bihar Sharif and imparting degree level along with Intermediate teachings in almost all subjects of Arts, Science and Commerce.   The College is Centrally located at East of kargil Chowk, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, occupying an area of 5.98 Acres of land Containing well furnished blocks for Science, Arts and Commerce faculty. Well equipped laboratory for Science faculty: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology and for Arts Faculty: Psychology, Geography, is available in this College.The College is located at 25 kms North-East from University of Nalanda, Rajgir and 90 Kms South-East from Patna. The College is about 3 Kms from Bihar Sharif Railway Station & directly linked with .Patna- Ranchi National Highway at Kargil Chowk, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda. The College is located very near to Pawapuri, a holy and worship place for Janis, well known as Nirvana place of Lord Mahavir. Really, it is a place of Spiritual feelings. Administrative block, Seminar Hall and other facilities are also available inside the College premises. Every Year approximately 4000 Students are admitted to various courses offered by the college. There are about 115 (One Hundred fifteen) teachers involved in academic activities.  The  College has been preparing the students for responsible, discipline, culture and also developing National Integration among the Students. Modern Teaching techniques have been used for imparting educations for Honors and Professional Courses. Main Objectives of the college is to educate and train valuable man power for development of Society as well as Nation.   P.M.S, College Paharpura, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda was founded and managed by a social worker and patriot Sri Baldeo Prasad. The parts of college building along with other assets were built by Sri Baldeo Prasad, former Secretary of the College. At present, Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh, a well known educationist and a good Nationalist has been working as a Secretary of this College. During his tenure, the College has got permanent affiliation and got post sanction for teaching and non-teaching staff from State Government. The College has also been registered under the section 2(f) and 12(b) of University Grant Commission, New-Delhi. Most of the teachers are permanently appointed on recommendation of Bihar college service Commission, Patna. Rest of the teachers are under the process of getting permanent appointment. Modern techniques and equipments has been used to educated and to train the Students. This College is government aided college. Regular payment of teaching and non-teaching staff has been performed by Government aid internal resources of the College.
