The branch of science concerned with the study of the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Medical science covers may subjects which try to explain how the human body works. Starting with basic biology it is generally divided into areas of specialization such as anatomy, physiology and pathology with some biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology and genetics. To become a doctor one has to get a MBBS degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). MBBS syllabus is under three subject heads, namely Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and clinical. The subject included here are microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy, pharmacology. Physiology and Pathology The medical council of India (MCI) is the authority responsible for prescribing the MBBS Syllabus. Under MBBS course, which is for five and a half years, candidates will have to complete rotational internship the entire MBBS syllabus has been divided into nine semesters. These nine semesters will be carried over a period of six months. There will be approximate of 120 teaching day in each semester. Medical aspirants can enroll themselves in the course by qualifying NEET UG with minimum required percentile.
