Calcutta Institute of Engineering And Management

The Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management or CIEM is a self-financing college in West Bengal, India offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering and Technology and other allied fields.The institute was established in 2003 and offers eight undergraduate courses.

The college is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and all the relevant programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

B. Tech in CSE is a 4-year UG course in Computer Science which involves the study of different computer languages like C, Java, python, C++, Database Learning, Machine Learning etc. and provides basic knowledge related to computer Science.

Almost 80% of students are placed from CSE at different companies all over India, including TCS, CTS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys etc. Many students get internships at different companies. The faculties, infrastructure and laboratory facilities are good. All the computer labs are air-conditioned. Many coding events, Webinar, Workshops, etc. are organized by different clubs. The course curriculum is relevant which makes the students’ industry ready.

B. Tech in ECE is a 4-year UG course in Electronics and Communication which involves the study of design, analysis and application of electronics and communication.

Almost 70-80% of the students are placed from ECE in different companies like MindTree, Amazon, etc. Many students opt for internships at different companies. Others opt for higher studies at different colleges. The faculties are very helpful and well qualified. The college maintains a balance between practical and theory part. The laboratories are well equipped. Lab sessions are very important and take place regularly.

B.Tech in CE is a 4-year UG course in Civil Engineering which involves the study of different subjects like Basic steel Design, Structural Analysis, Construction Project Management, etc. Faculties are very helpful and opportunities of projects are also as per good engineering colleges. Laboratories are in extremely good condition. There are different laboratories for the different lab session which takes place at regular basis.

B.Tech in IT is a 4-year UG course in Information Technology which involves the study of management, information science and also computer science.

Almost 80%-90% students are placed at different IT companies across India like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini etc. Many students are placed at renowned companies for internship. The faculties, infrastructure and laboratory facilities are good. All the labs are air-conditioned. Many coding events, Webinar, Workshops, etc. are organized by different clubs. The course curriculum is relevant which makes the students’ industry ready.

B. Tech in EE is a 4-year UG course in Electrical Engineering which involves the study and application of electricity, electromagnetism and different electric components.

Since it is the core branch students are also taught with different computer languages. Many students are placed from this branch, but maximum of them opt for higher studies. Faculties are very helpful and most of them either have Ph.D or pursing it. Faculties motivate students to go towards research and helps in publishing their own research paper. Laboratories are good and practical sessions take place at regular basis.

BBA or Bachelor of Business Administration is a UG course which includes the study of different subjects like management principles, marketing, management, accounting, finance, etc. The faculty members are experienced, helpful and very cooperative and encourage students at every step. The lab facilities are well maintained and students are provided with all the necessary courses to build their skills.

Master in Business Administration is a graduate business degree that involves the study of technical, managerial and leadership skills.This college provides the perfect environment for MBA students by conducting different seminars, workshops, debate and extempore competition, which boosts up the confidence level of a student. The faculties are very helpful and friendly and encourage student at every step. The infrastructure is very good. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. There are seminar halls for conducting different workshops and seminars. This college not only provide an opportunity to learn business acumen, but also helps in expanding professional network and create new opportunities.
