About Us

Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE) is one amongst the six new Government Engineering College established by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology. It will start its first academic session (2016-17) from old campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna at Patliputra Colony. The new engineering college will have four engineering branches – computer science, civil, mechanical, and electrical & electronics – with an intake of 60 per branch and 240 students in total.

BCE Bakhtiyarpur new campus at Bakhtiyarpur was inaugurated on February 2, 2020. It is about 3.5 km from Bakhtiypur Railway Station by road.This campus is near the Dedaur village area just beside the railway lines. The college has started its 2020 session from this campus along with the temporary campus for GEC Bhojpur and GEC Buxar.

To infuse a spirit of entrepreneurship in education, and scholarly activity and participation in engineering practice into our Education system.
To help students not be just technically sound, but inculcating good moral ethics, so that they prove to be strong pillars in the progress of a nation.
