ABOUT US

R.L.S.Y. College, Bakhtiyarpur initiated its journey in the year 1964. A great Visionary, a great politician Late Sri Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav assisted by local educationists and people of this area started this cZollege. It is situated on the bank of the Ganges and beautiful natural surroundings, block level town and well maintained communication system-road and rail linking the capital, Patna. Going back to the history of the college, it is interesting to note that at that time teachers & Staffs were so keen to establish the college in good tune. It was the true labour and sincerity of the teachers and staffs bore the fruits. In course of time it got the affiliation in Hons. Subjects and post Graduate Classes. Firstly it got the affiliation in four subjects namely Chemistry, Philosophy, Hindi, Economics at post Graduate level. From Intermediate to graduation level teaching was firstly initiated and in between post graduation teaching in twelve subjects were approved by university and Govt. of Bihar.

Life is bad job and how to make the best of a bad job-it is prudence and intelligence of the rational. After getting constituent status, there were so many vocational courses reintroduced e.g. BLIS, MLIS, BCA, BBA & others.

Time to time seminar and other activities were run within the campus really it was the beauty of the college.

Sincere Teachers impart education with great zeal. Coordination among students and teachers are of great worth.

Our vision towards the institution is to make it empowering the youth for capacity building, basic moral values, community development and fair access to poor and society, disadvantaged group of human resource in the light of changing economical, social and cultural development.

Furthermore we want to make the institution an entity of national importance. The irony of the institution is that it is situated in such a place where development is taking its space. The only solution in enriching the area with keynote its education. Education imparts happiness the root of all pleasure depends upon the quality of education our endeavour is to build such a model which may encourage the youth with energy and vitality. We want to make the institution a centre of education with potentially experience. The downtrodden class especially SC/EBC/Minorities which have not seen the sunshine with full bloom may experience the need and importance of education. Not only this we want to lead this institution towards country’s map. It is certainly challenging but sincere efforts never go in vain. After getting support from students and local stalwarts and retired teachers who have a lot of experience. We will find the way to make it a superior institution. Nothing to mention that it has potentiality but we with my colleagues will turn the potentially into kineiticism. To explore and bring to fruition the latent potential of each student and to provide an ambience for creative experience.
