Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (SVMCH&RC), one of the best tertiary-care teaching Institution in the state of Puducherry with the motto “to create a healthier society”. Our Institution is the brainchild of the renowned philanthropic educationist and visionary Shri. B. Ramachandran, Chairman of the Ramachandra Educational Trust (RET), Chennai. The trust also runs higher educational Institutions in other professional disciplines including Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Paramedical courses and Engineering & Technology.
The Institution was started with the prime aim of comprehensive health care for all the needy population from both rural and urban areas blended with teaching, research and outreach activities.
Compassionate patient care is rendered by twenty-one clinical departments in speciality and super-speciality categories along with four ancillary supporting health care services.
Our services reach over 5,00,000 outpatients and 40,000 inpatients every year and each patient is guaranteed not only the best diagnostic, medical and surgical care but also in the domains of disease prevention, health promotion & rehabilitation.
The Institution supports the health care system of our nation by dedicating 150 competent medical graduates and — postgraduates every year for the service of the mankind.
