Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV) is a Central University, located in Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). This University was established in the year 1983 as State University by an Act of State Legislative Assembly of the then undivided Madhya Pradesh. Later, It was upgraded as Central University under central universities act 2009 of the parliament. It is affiliated to Government of India and Approved by University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi. Also, Accredited by NAAC with "Grade B". The Campus is Spread Over 655 Acres of land Area Which is 5 kilometer away from main town.
