Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences Kothamangalam is one of the reputed Private Dental Colleges in Kerala. The college is popularly known as IGIDS Kothamangalam and was founded in the year 2007-08.
The college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, and is approved by the Dental Council of India, Govt. of India.
On this campus, BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental surgery. It is a clinical field of surgery associated with the mouth and dealing with injuries related to teeth, jaw, and gums. It is a 5-year undergraduate degree program in dentistry to prepare students for a successful career as a dental health practitioner.

Library: The Library and all related facilities have been set up in a vast area and are having all the amenities. The central library has a carpet area of 4695 sq ft, with separate enclosures of reception and waiting, property counter, issue counter, photocopying area, reading room with 125 seating capacity, staff reading room, journals room, audio-visual room, and cabin for the chief librarian. At present more than 1600 books and a sufficient number of journals are stocked in the library.
