ABOUT US

Mahila Shilp Kala Bhawan was founded in 1965 by the first President of India His Excellency Dr. Rajendra Prasad with a view to imparting sewing, Weaving and other Crafts to the downtrodden women of the society. The main objective was to train them for job opportunities and to enable them for earning their livelihood. Along with these crafts the traditional education was provided to the girl students so that they can also obtain the requisite degrees. Later on the “Sansthan” (Institution) was divided into 3 parts – Middle School, High School and Degree College. The College come in shape by the great efforts of Late Shanta Devi on 9th Aug. 1965. I welcome all my students who want to further their academic studies, to achieve their ambitions and get their dream careers. Today educations as well as traditional systems are witnessing a series of changes which are unparalleled. In the present fast changing scenario, the women of India must be prepared for the future challenges. We, at MSKB College, endeavour to equip our students with all the skill sets required to be successful in the contemporary world. Our goal is to teach valuable, engaging and ground breaking subjects that we hope shall spark analytical & critical thinking skills. The bedrock of our academic philosophy comprises an independent approach to seeking knowledge, the questioning of conventional wisdom and the spirit of free enquiry and exploration. The mission of college to impart higher education among girls of down trodden society without discriminating cast-creed and colour, apart from that the college has to create an environment that protects and promote the concept of human rights, social economic harmony and national integrity.
