MOOT (Master of Optometry and Ophthalmic Technology) is a 2-years full-time postgraduate degree course. This master's programme prepares participants for professional specialization in a multitude of areas of optometry: contact lenses, provided vision therapy and low vision rehabilitation.
Master of Optometry and Ophthalmic Technology course in Optometry which includes eye and related structures, as well as vision, visual systems & vision information processing in humans. Optometrists are primary healthcare providers for the Diagnosis, management and treatment of Eye Diseases & Refractive disorders.

Eligibility Criteria for MOOT (Master of Optometry and Ophthalmic Technology)
1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree or B.Sc. in Optometry or MBBS degree from any Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized institute.
2. Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50% (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in the PCMB group or combinations thereof, in their PUC or qualifying examination are eligible for admission.
3. Foreign national candidates will be eligible for only seats allocated to foreign national categories, depending upon the individual institutes.

2. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
3. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
