Bachelor in Public Health (BPH) is a three-year course. This course also referred to as BPH, is an undergraduate health program tailored to prepare students for a career in several areas of public health like health behaviour, research and statistics in health, environmental health, epidemiology, health administration etc.
Bachelor in Public Health the students also study human anatomy, diseases, and other relevant subjects like women’s health, child & adolescent health and nutrition. After completing the BPH course, a student has the potential to work with public health organisations, in critical care, child care, maternity care, nutrition consultant etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor in Public Health (BPH)
1. Applicants must have a 10+2 qualification from a recognized board on Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in Class 12th.
2. Applicants must achieve at least 50% to 60% of the points in the relevant proficiency tests.
3. Eligibility conditions for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories will be 45% marks in the qualifying examinations.
4. Applicants must not be younger than 17 at the time of application.
Admissions Process
1. Colleges publish admission notices on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
Career after Bachelor in Public Health (BPH)
BPH graduates may work in community education and research. A few common roles for those starting out in the field include research assistant, community educator, and community surveyor. A job in the public sector may also be a viable option. Some individuals use their BPH as a platform for continuing education in medical school, nursing school, or pharmacy school.
After completing the BPH course, a student has the potential to work with public health organisations, in critical care, child care, maternity care, nutrition consultant etc. BPH graduates might also decide to pursue a master’s degree in public health.
