Bachelor of Science (BSc) is an undergraduate degree course usually of three years course. BSC. Honors in chemistry provide a backbone in all the traditional branches of physical, inorganic, organic, and analytical chemistry. Chemistry is the science that deals with compounds composed of atoms. It means that chemistry covers the study of elements, molecules, and compounds.
The programme focuses on topics like Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and more. The science of matter is also concerned with physics. However, chemistry is a more specialized subject. After pursuing B.Sc in Chemistry, candidates can get a number of opportunities including Chemical Engineering Associate, Lab Chemist, Production Chemist, Analytical Chemist, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for the course says that the interested candidates must have science with subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Maths, or Biology as their main subjects from any recognized board.
Admission is based on both Merit-Based and Entrance Based depending on the institutions that are providing the course. Some of the Universities include Delhi University, Christ University, and Punjab University, and so on. Some of the entrance exams are BHU CET, NPAT, PU CET, and so on.
CAREER & Jobs OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates from this course will be better prepared to understand the new environment-friendly systems and can understand the processes that the chemical industry is adopting. After doing BSc Chemistry, one can go for MSc in Chemistry or take up various jobs and also take up internships to prepare for industry-level entries.
