Eligibility Criteria for NMAT
1. Candidates must have completed their Bachelors degree from any recognized University / Institutions.
2. Candidates need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their bachelor's degree.
3. While not mandatory, 2-3 years of relevant work experience is often preferred by business schools.
4. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam a maximum of three times in a testing cycle (including the initial attempt and two retakes).
5. There is no upper age limit for appearing in the NMAT exam.
NMAT Exam Pattern
The NMAT exam has three sections: Language Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Skills. Each section has 36 questions, totaling 108 questions in the entire exam. The exam is 2 hours long, with 28 minutes for Language Skills, 52 minutes for Quantitative Skills, and 40 minutes for Logical Reasoning. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers.

· English Grammar & Vocabulary: Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies, Fill in the Blanks, Cloze test, Idioms, Phrasal verbs, Sentence Correction, Identifying Errors, Parts of Speech, Tenses.
2. Quantitative Skills
· Arithmetic: Number Systems, Percentages, Ratio and Proportions, Averages, Time and Work, Partnership, Simple and Compound Interest, Integers, HCF and LCM.
· Algebra: Equations, Inequalities, Absolute Value, Quadratic Equations, Linear Equations, Logarithms.
· Geometry & Mensuration: Circles, Quadrilaterals, Square and Rectangles, Lines, Angles, Triangles, Polygons, Cylinder, Cones, Spheres, Cubes and Cuboids, Rhombus, Trapezium, Parallelogram, 3D Figures, Pythagoras Theorem, Base Angle Theorem, Longest Side Theorem.
· Modern Math: Permutation and Combination, Coordinate Geometry, Set Theory, Probability, Progression (Arithmetic, Geometric, Harmonic), Relationship.
· Data Interpretation: Caselets and Tables, Graphs and Charts, Data Sufficiency (Number Properties based, Arithmetic based, Algebra and Probability based).
3. Logical Reasoning
· Analytical Reasoning: Puzzles, Coding-Decoding, Arrangements (Linear, Circular), Seating Arrangements, Family Tree, Blood Relations, Input-Output.
· Verbal Reasoning: Critical Reasoning (Assumption-based, Strengthening/Weakening arguments), Syllogism, Statement and Conclusion, Statement and Argument, Statement and Assumption, Courses of Action and Decision Making.

NMAT Exam Pattern 2025
The NMAT 2025 exam window is scheduled to run from November 5th, 2025 to December 20th, 2025.
Important dates for NMAT by GMAC 2025:

NMAT Exam Registration Process:
To register for the NMAT by GMAC exam, follow these steps:
1. Visit the official NMAT website: Go to mba.com/exams/nmat.
2. Create an account: Click on 'Register for NMAT by GMAC™' and provide your basic details like name, email ID, mobile number, and country preference.
3. Verify your email: You'll receive a verification link on your registered email ID. Click on it to verify your account and then log in using your newly created credentials.
4. Access the NMAT dashboard: Once logged in, click on the "NMAT by GMAC™ Dashboard" button to access your candidate dashboard.
5. Fill out the application form: Complete the application form on the dashboard, providing your personal information, academic details, and work experience (if applicable).
6. Upload documents: Upload a recent passport-size photograph that resembles you and your Photo ID.
7. Select school preferences: Choose up to five schools where you'd like your scores to be sent. Your registration fee includes reports for these five schools. Additional schools can be added for a fee of INR 300 + applicable taxes per report.
8. Select exam mode (Test Centre or Online Proctored at Home): Choose your preferred testing mode. Note that once you book a slot, you cannot change the exam mode for that attempt.
9. Pay the registration fee: The registration fee is INR 3000 + applicable taxes. Payment can be made online via credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI, and mobile wallets.
10. Schedule your exam: After the payment is confirmed, the scheduling option will be enabled on your dashboard. Select your preferred date, time, and test center (or complete the My Profile section for online proctoring).
11. Download admit card: Your admit card can be downloaded from your dashboard once the payment is realized.
