M.A Theater and Television is a two-year degree program. The theatre and Television course focuses on preparing the students for successfully navigating the ever-changing environment of the highly competitive theatre, film and television industry through intensive training sessions along with a strong theoretical understanding of new approaches to performance, presentation and production.
The program is a way to increase the number of trained men and women in theatre practices and to provide a venue for the development of theatre artists who intend to apply their knowledge of the theatre craft for work in professional theatre or in film, radio, or television.
Through this course, the candidates will learn to analyze the script and sequences of a cinema, their overall impact and faults, and the beauty underlining it. The program addresses the significance of theatre and television within the context of current developments and issues including the industrial organization of film and television production.

Eligibility Criteria for M.A Theater and Television
1. Applicant should have graduated from any discipline from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
2. Applicants should have a minimum of computer knowledge.
3. an age limit is prescribed by a few institutes that provide part-time degrees.
4. According to some institutes, a candidate’s age should not be less than 17 years and not more than 27 years.
5. Candidates should have aggregate marks of 40% to 50% in the SC/ST/PWD.
