Karate is a form of full-contact martial art that dates back to the 17th Century. It was developed in the Okinawa Prefecture of Japan. The sport evolved from the native martial arts of the Ryukyu Islands under the leadership of Chinese martial arts, especially Fujian White Crane. In its initial stages, karate was an original form of closed-fist fighting; Kara means ‘empty,' and te means ’hand’.

In sporting karate and sparring (kumite) in training, blows and kicks are stopped short, preferably within an inch of contact.
Rules of karate
1. In each type of karate, what is common is that, basically, only strikes are allowed. And there are many differences.
2. In some events, undercuts and trips are permitted. In Olympic karate, strikes with full force are prohibited, there is the so-called "fencing", somewhat reminiscent of taekwondo, and the victory is awarded to the fighter who delivered the most "hits".
3. In Kyokushinkai, there is no restriction on the power of the blow, here you can hit with full force, but punches to the head are prohibited.
4. During competitions and team training, keywords are pronounced in Japanese, and battles consist of several rounds (combats). Again, in each event, their number varies, as well as the timing of each round.
Size of space for Karate
A platform 8 m long and 8 m wide is used for karate. On the four corners of this platform, there is an arrangement for one judge to sit and on the right side for the arbitrator to sit.
What happens if a Player is Injured
The chances of injury remain high in this game. There are two main reasons for injury. The first reason is that the player is injured after being fouled by the opposition player. In this case, the injured player is declared the winner and the fouling player is thrown out of the competition.
Another reason for injury is the wrong technique used by the player. Sometimes both players get injured and the reason for this is both. In such a situation, the player who leaves the field is considered defeated and the other is declared victorious.
