Musculoskeletal Imaging is proud to offer one of the most comprehensive fellowship programs available in the country. Dedicated academic time provides great opportunities for fellows to participate in clinical research, mentoring programs and also presenting at international conferences.
Both academic and private practice careers have been successful with the Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging program. Musculoskeletal radiology/imaging fellows gain experience in a wide gamut of diagnostic and interventional modalities.
Fellows are allotted one academic day per week, which can be used in a variety of different ways including work on current research projects, preparation of weekly internal and interdisciplinary conferences, and observing surgery under the guidance of our colleagues in the department of Orthopedics.

The objectives of the Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship:
1. Educate fellows in the advanced interpretation of radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine/ PET and ultrasound examinations of the musculoskeletal system and in the performance of fluoroscopy, ultrasound and CT-guided procedures.
2. Educate fellows in the biology, treatment and complications of neoplastic and acquired musculoskeletal diseases, particularly as they are reflected in musculoskeletal imaging studies and procedures.
3. Provide an opportunity for clinical education and academic research using the clinical material and resources of the Hospital integrated program.
How to Apply for Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging
1. All applicants must have completed an MCI-approved (or equivalent) residency training program in diagnostic radiology and should be board-certified.
2. They will begin accepting applications for the academic year 2024-2025 effective August 1, 2022.
3. Selected applicants will be invited for virtual interviews with division staff members and will have the opportunity to get acquainted with our program, working environment and facilities.
