Steward/Stewardess, air-hostess, and flight attendant are all terms used to refer to the Members of the cabin crew. The terms "stewardess" and "flight attendant" describe the same basic job of tending to airplane passengers' needs and safety. Although ensuring passenger safety has always been an important part of the job, in the early decades the emphasis was on keeping passengers who were mostly businessmen comfortable and happy.
Eligibility Criteria of Air Hostess
1. Age – The minimum age requirement to apply for the job is 18 for Domestic Airlines and 21 and more for International airlines.
2. Height – The minimum height requirement for the steward is 5.7” or 173 cm.
3. Weight – A candidate is supposed to have an ideal Body.
4. Educational Qualifications – The minimum qualification required to apply for the job of a steward is 10+2.
5. Medical Requirements – Due to the fact that Stewards are responsible for handling a large number of passengers in a plane, they should not have any history of mental illness.Eyesight requirement is 6/9.
6. Passport – Stewards should be eligible for an Indian Passport.
7. Marital Status – The steward can be married or unmarried.
8. Language – The candidates are supposed to be proficient at every aspect of the English language.
