AMU has made its place in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2020. AMU has been placed in the 8-9th position, nationally. The university has opened three new centres of study outside Aligarh in Murshidabad (West Bengal), Malappuram (Kerala), and Kishanganj (Bihar).

Eligibility Criteria for AMU Entrance Exam 2025
Candidates will be shortlisted for admission in these fields on the basis of a university-level entrance exam conducted by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
1. The eligibility criteria for AMU admission 2025 will be different for different courses.
2. However, the candidates should have completed their higher secondary education (class 12th) in order to take admission in the UG programmes.
3. To be eligible to take admission in the PG courses, candidates should complete their graduation in the relevant discipline.

Hostel
An extraordinary feature of the University is its inhabited nature. Both the students and staff reside together on the campus itself. There are 26 halls and 69 Hostels.
Library
It is known as the Maulana Azad Library. It is the second-biggest University Library in Asia. It has a whopping collection of over 11.5 lakh books and documents. There are books on different subjects in Science & Technology. The library has a well-equipped Computer Lab.
Sports
In AMU Campus 19 main clubs comprise the University Games Committee. There are 7 sub-clubs also the country has got the best sportsmen from this University. The University provides separate grounds for cricket, football, hockey, athletics, and tennis. Indoor games are also being played. Indoor games like chess, carom, billiards, badminton and table tennis are there for the boys and girls to play.
Computer Centre
It is very well equipped and thus provides with very fast internet system. The computers are updated every now and then. Students can use it for their benefit and thus derive immense help from the Centre.
Admission Process for AMU
1. The Application Form will be released online mode at the official website.
2. The schedule for the registration process of every exam could be different as per the courses.
3. Candidates must fill out the application form as per the given instruction on it.
4. Candidates must confirm their eligibility for the examination before filling out the application form.
5. Candidates are advised to keep the printout of the filled application form and fee receipt for future references.

AMU Entrance Exam Pattern
1. The entrance exam will be conducted offline mode.
2. The number of sections could be different for every course.
3. The Question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only.
4. Total Number of questions will be different as per various courses.
5. The duration of the examination for some courses will be 3 hours and for other courses, it will be 2 hours.
6. 1 mark will be provided for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted on every negative response.
AMU 2025 Admit Card
1. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards after a few days from the completion of the registration process.
2. Candidates can avail of the official website of AMU because the hall ticket will be made available via online mode only.
3. Admit cards will be released one or two weeks before the entrance examination.
4. Candidates will have to download their admit card itself by login into the website of the university.
5. Applicants are advised to bring the admit card on the date of the examination and keep it safe till the time of admission.
AMU 2025 Result
The result of AMU 2025 entrance exam is released in the form of a selection list. It is released in pdf format and consists of details of those candidates who have qualified for the test and are eligible to participate in the further admission process.
The result pdf also consists of details of the counselling / Personal Interviews. Selection of candidates is done based on their performance in the entrance test. The admission will be provided to them on the basis of their ranking, choices made and fulfilment of eligibility or other criteria.
