The Institution of Engineering and Technology has started applications for the eighth edition of the IET India Scholarship Award. Students pursuing higher studies in IET AICTE or UGC-approved institutions will be given a scholarship of Rs 10 lakh.
Students who are eligible and interested for this scholarship can apply on the official website Scholars.theietvents.com. The last date to apply is 31 May 2024.
1. IET will release the list of shortlisted candidates between 26 and 28 June.
2. The IET Scholarship exam will be conducted from 3 to 5 July.
3. The winners of the IET Scholarship Award 2024 will be announced on 2 September.
4. Students applying for the scholarship will have to pass all the courses in a single attempt.
5. Students must have passed graduation with at least 60% aggregate marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale.
Applicants will be evaluated on parameters such as academic performance, extracurriculars, extent of outreach activities and their ability to come up with creative engineering solutions to solve societal challenges. In the first round, students will be shortlisted based on their academic performance and extracurriculars.
They will then have to take an online test on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects and technical expertise. Students who will be shortlisted will have to present their technological solution to a relevant societal challenge in the regional round.
