A visually impaired student singing an inspiring song emerged as the most emotional and memorable moment of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, drawing warm applause from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and students present at the venue.
The short performance, shared on the Prime Minister's official YouTube handle, added a deeply personal touch to the ninth edition of the Prime Minister’s flagship interaction with students.
The YouTube description of the video captured the mood of the moment, stating, "This song by a divyang student at Pariksha Pe Charcha turned the moment unforgettable, drawing smiles, applause and appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and everyone present. Do watch!"
The student sang lines urging courage, honesty and perseverance. Parts of the song included, “Keep moving forward, keep going,” and “The whole world is behind you, keep fighting the difficulties.”
The simple words, sung with confidence, resonated strongly with students watching the programme across the country.
The performance came during Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026. The event will go live in early February and will be broadcast live on Doordarshan channels, All India Radio, and digital platforms of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Education, ensuring nationwide reach.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual interaction in which Prime Minister Modi speaks directly to students appearing for board examinations.
The programme focusses on reducing exam stress, encouraging healthy study habits and promoting overall mental well-being among young learners.
The first edition was held in February 2018 at the Talkatora Stadium.
This year, the programme crossed a major milestone, with more than 6 crore registrations from students, parents and teachers. Selected participants had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Prime Minister during the interaction.

During the event, students raised questions on daily habits needed to achieve dreams, the role of motivation versus discipline, and ways to build self-confidence.
In a video message, PM Modi told students, "Believe in your pattern because not everyone knows everything, but everyone knows something," while stressing the importance of writing practice for exams.
The blind student’s song stood out as a symbol of resilience and positivity, perfectly reflecting the spirit of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026.
The moment reinforced the message that confidence and determination matter as much as academic preparation.
