MAT December 2025
Overview
The MAT exam stands for the Management Aptitude Test, a national-level entrance examination in India for admission to MBA and allied postgraduate management programs. It is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year (February, May, September, and December).
The MAT score is used by over 600 business schools and management colleges across India for their admission processes. The Government of India, Ministry of Education, approved MAT as a national-level test in 2003. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year degree students are also eligible to apply. There is no age limit.
The MAT is generally considered to be easier in difficulty compared to other major management entrance exams like the CAT or XAT, and candidates can appear multiple times a year, using their best score for admissions.
