Applicants should fall between 19 and 25 years of age as of July 1, 2026—meaning dates of birth between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2007, are within range. This bracket aligns candidate experience with Army officer requirements.
To qualify academically, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited university, with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. Final-year students can apply if they’ve achieved a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the first two or three years of their course when applying.
Additionally, every applicant must have spent at least two academic years in the Senior Division or Wing of NCC, and hold the NCC ‘C’ Certificate. This stipulation emphasises exposure to NCC training as a core foundation for new officers.
