The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Based on previous trends and official information from the CBSE, the final CTET 2026 admit card will be available on the official website, https://ctet.nic.in/, two days before the exam, that is, on February 5th or 6th, 2026.
The CTET City Intimation Slip was released on January 23rd, providing candidates with details of their exam city. Applicants must note that entry to the exam centre is not permitted without the admit card.
The CTET exam serves as an entry gate for aspiring government school teachers. It not only certifies educational qualifications but also provides essential eligibility for applications to Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and other central government schools.
After the CTET 2026 admit card is out, follow these below steps to download it:
Step 1 – Visit the official website of CTET, https://ctet.nic.in/
Step 2 – Click on the “Download Admit Card: CTET Feb 2026" link on the homepage.
Step 3 – Enter your application number and date of birth.
Step 4 – Enter the security pin and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 5 – The CTET admit card will be displayed on the screen. Download it and take two printouts for future reference.
The CTET exam will be conducted in two shifts on the same day:
– CTET Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. The reporting time is 12:30 pm.
– CTET Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8 will be conducted on 9:30 am to noon. Reporting time is 7:30 am.
