CBSE launches career guidance dashboard and counselling hub model for 2025-26
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)on August 7 launched two major initiatives aimed at improving career readiness and mental health support for students in the 2025-26 academic year.
The two programmes CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard and the CBSE Counselling Hub and Spoke Model — were officially introduced at the CBSE Integrated Office in Sector 23, Dwarka, in the presence of over 500 school principals, counsellors, wellness teachers, and education experts.
The Career Guidance Dashboard, now live at https://cbsecareerguidance.in/, provides students with resources and tools for structured career exploration. The Counselling Hub and Spoke Model connects CBSE Mentor Hub Schools with Spoke Schools to establish a support network for student well-being and psychological support.
CBSE Chairperson Rahul Singh, IAS, said both initiatives align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and focus on sustainable, technology-driven development in education.
CBSE
Secretary Himanshu Gupta, IAS, stressed the growing need for structured mental
health frameworks in schools. He acknowledged the critical role of educators in
helping students navigate academic and career-related stress.
The event also featured a session by CBSE
Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, who outlined recent examination
and academic reforms post-NEP.
Panel discussions were held on integrating mental wellness and career guidance across schools. Schools were urged to implement the Hub and Spoke Model and promote use of the Career Guidance Dashboard as part of a broader effort to create “future-ready learners.”
CBSE’s official notification said the initiatives aim to "build institutional capacities among educators, counsellors and wellness teachers" and deliver sustained guidance and emotional support for students.
