Students preparing for medical and engineering exams under the Bihar Board will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000 along with tuition-free education. Each student will be awarded a total scholarship of Rs 24,000 for two years.
The deadline to apply for this free coaching has been extended until March 10. Eligible students will undergo selection based on entrance exams and interviews. They will be provided with free medical and engineering preparation at educational centres located in divisional headquarters.
The deadline to apply online on the coaching.biharboardonline.com website was previously set for February 25 and February 8. Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100.
Recently, the Bihar government has also introduced the Mukhyamantri Balak Protsahan Yojana 2024. Under this scheme, all eligible students receive Rs 10,000 if they pass their exams with a first division. Furthermore, female students who pass with second class in the matriculation exam receive a scholarship of Rs 8,000.
Bihar government offers scholarships of over Rs 5,000 to students pursuing degree courses. Additionally, students who pass the 12th grade and enrol in a graduate degree program are awarded scholarships ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000.
