The LIC scholarship 2024 scheme assists and awards scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of society whose annual family income does not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum. The objective of LIC Scholarship

LIC, India provides LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship for meritorious students belonging to economically weaker families. LIC aims to support students with better opportunities for higher education and thus enhancing their employability.

The LIC Scholarship is awarded to selected students for higher studies in a government or private university/college in India. Other than this, the scholarship will also cover vocational and technical courses of graduation level in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) or Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Eligibility Criteria for LIC Scholarship

Students can find the essential eligibility criteria laid down by the Life Insurance Corporation of India to avail of their Golden Jubilee scholarship scheme 2024.

For Regular Scholar

1. Candidates who have passed class 12 exams 2024-25 (or its equivalent - Regular/ Vocational) / Diploma with at least 60 % marks are eligible to apply for the LIC jubilee scholarship provided their family income is not more than INR 2,50,000 per annum.

2. Candidates who have passed class 10 exams 2024-25 session or its equivalent with at least 60% marks having family annual income not more than INR 2.5 lakhs per annum.

For Special Girl Child Scholar

1. To encourage the education of girl child, LIC has included special provisions for girl child scholars. Girls who want to pursue higher studies in the +2 pattern after passing class 10 exams are eligible to apply for the LIC scholarship 2024.

2. They are eligible for applying to the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship scheme, if their family income is not more than INR 2.5 lakhs per annum and who want to pursue higher education for not beyond two years.

Application Procedure

1. Application Form:  Interested students need to fill out an application form available on the LIC's official website.

2. Documents Required: The application should be accompanied by relevant documents such as mark sheets, income certificate, admission proof, and other necessary documents.

3. Submission: The completed application form and documents must be submitted online or to the nearest LIC Divisional Office.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Amount 2024

1. Selected candidates will get an amount of Rs 20,000 per annum (regular scholars) which will be paid in three instalments.

2. Rs 10,000 per annum will be awarded for selected special girl child scholars. This amount will also be transferred in 3 instalments.

Step 4: A detailed description of the Golden Jubilee LIC scholarship scheme is displayed on the screen.

Step 5: If eligible, the candidate should click on "LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship application form - apply online".

Step 6: The applicant should fill in all the valid personal details, educational qualifications, bank details, etc., in the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship online form.

Step 7: The candidate will get an acknowledgement of the same to the email address mentioned in the application.

Step 8: They should provide a valid email address and phone number for further communications.

Step 9: The divisional office will contact the candidate for further correspondence.
