APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship Program was initiated by the Government of Kerala, which aims to support minority students from economically weaker backgrounds courses in government or government-aided polytechnic colleges. The scholarship provides financial support of up to Rs 6000 per year for the duration of the course.

Benefits of Abdul Kalam Scholarship 2024
The main objective of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship is to provide opportunities to people who are not able to continue their education due to a lack of financial benefits. People who are currently pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in organizations will be able to get this scholarship.
The Abdul Kalam Scholarship is a special scholarship named after former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Many schools and organizations in India offer this scholarship to honour Dr. Kalam and to help more students afford their education. Students who come from the economically backward section of society will get the benefit of this scholarship.
1. The Abdul Kalam Scholarship aims to ensure all students can continue their studies.
2. Dr Kalam wanted every Indian to be able to read and write. This scholarship helps make his dream come true by helping students pay for their classes, books, and supplies.
3. The student will get 6000Rs. per annum for UG, PG, Diploma, PhD courses.
4. The application and selection process for this scholarship starts in August and ends in November every Year.
Eligibility Criteria for Abdul Kalam Scholarship 2024
1. Community: Applicants should belong to the Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddha, Parsis, or Jain community.
2. Income Criteria: The family's annual income should not exceed 8 Lakhs.
3. Nativity: Applicants must be native to Kerala.
4. Merit Admission: Admission must be in a merit seat.
5. BPL Preference: Students from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families will be given preference.
6. Institute: Applicants should study in Government/Aided/Government Approved Self-Financing Polytechnics.
Documents Required for Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship
The following documents must be submitted for this scholarship:-
1. 10th class Transfer Certificate.
2. Copy of Family Annual Income Certificate.
3. A scanned copy of the Mark-sheet of the last exam passed.
4. Copy of Identity card issued by the University.
5. Death Certificate of parents of the Candidate (in death cases only).
6. The application must be attested by the Dean of the institute/ Head of Dept./ Director of Centre.
7. The letter was written by the Candidate in the justification for availing of the scholarship in Less than 300 words.
