About

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a Government Medical College, located in Pune (Maharashtra). This College was established in the Year 1948 by the recommendations of the BC Roy Committee by the amalgamation of various defence medical organizations. AFMC has the distinction of being the first medical college set up by the Armed Forces of any country in Asia. It is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and Approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. The Campus is Spread Over 119 Acres of land Area near Ramtekri in eastern Pune. The College provides medical education with training specific to the health care needs of the Armed Forces. The Courses offered by Institution are MBBS, MD/MS, DM, Paramedical, Nursing, Diploma, PG Diploma & Super Specialty Course in Various Specialization.
