B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology is a three-year-long undergraduate degree course. Operation Theatre Technology is a detailed technical occupation in the field of health science. These medical professionals are an important part of the operation unit team who work alongside with the surgeon, anesthesiologist and nurse in order to provide quality patient care throughout the surgery.
Their prime duty is to take care of all the work and management of the operation theatre which comprises looking after all the surgical instruments, their sterilization, preparation of dressing table, operation theatre table, instrument table as well as anesthesia table. They also look after the drugs necessary for surgery, anesthetic gases, drapes and all the linen and their sterilization.

As the name suggests, the candidates who pursue a programme in Operation Theatre Technology will be trained and educated in the field of Operation Theatre Technology.
Eligibility Criteria
B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology eligibility includes aspirants must complete their 10+2 with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% from a recognized board. Additionally, students must pass the entrance exams conducted by the colleges. The minimum age to apply for the course is 17 years.
Mostly, candidates will be able to take admission to an OTT programme based on the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examinations. However, in certain states, candidates may also be required to have appeared in the state CET examinations for medicine.
