Eligibility Criteria for M.V.Sc
1. Master of Veterinary Sciences, colleges, students are required to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria, the student must possess a degree in B.V.Sc & AHB from a recognized university by the Veterinary Council of India.
2. The student must have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks in graduation. For SC/ST category students, there is 5% relaxation in the minimum passing marks. This percentage requirement may differ for each institute.
3. B.Sc.(Biology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/LifeSciences) degree with not less than 6.00 out of 10 or equivalent OGPA /equivalent percentage of marks(i.e.60%) for general category candidates and 5.50/10 OGPA/equivalent percentage(i.e. 55%) of marks for OBC/SC/ST/SBC category candidates.
4. Some institutes have an age limit of 20-22 years whereas some other institutes have set the upper age limit as 35 years.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
