Bachelor of Elementary Education is an undergraduate course for the duration of 4 years course. In the first 3 years of the course, candidates study a combination of theory and practicals. Whereas in the last year of the course they teach directly in school, as a part of their training. The program is available in both Hindi and English language. The program is designed to impart subject knowledge, communication skills, child psychology, and pedagogical knowledge.

Apart from that, the candidates after passing the B.El.Ed courses are absorbed into various job profiles that include numerous sectors such as publishing houses, schools, Education departments, coaching centers, etc. They are mainly employed in the education sector.
Eligibility Criteria for B.EL.Ed
1. Candidates are required to fulfil is to qualify their 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board/university.
2. Also, candidates are required to secure a specific percentage in certain subjects.
3. This varies on the basis of the college/university in which candidates wish to take admitted.
4. Direct admission on the basis of marks secured in the higher secondary qualifying examination. Entrance examination conducted college/university/institute-wise.
5. Common entrance examinations are conducted for admission to the course.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
Career after B.EL.Ed
B.El.Ed graduates are eligible to take up the role of an elementary-level teacher at relevant academic institutes. They have a vast amount of opportunities to pick from as they are eligible to apply for both government and private sectors.
It also enables students for appointments in NDMC, MCD, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other private schools across the country. Other job profiles offered to a B.El.Ed candidate is a pre-primary teacher, junior content writer, career counselor, proofreader, etc.
