CEED

Common Entrance Exam for Design is a design entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay to offer admission to the aspirants in various M.Des and PhD programs at CEED exam participating institutes. Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) conducts the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) to provide admission to aspirants in Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes offered at colleges accepting CEED scores.

On the basis of a candidate’s score in CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in M.Des course at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and UPES Dehradun and Ph.D programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.

The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility Criteria for CEED Exam

1. The applicants must have passed a degree/diploma/pg degree of 4 years or 3+2 years (after Higher Secondary) or appear for the final examination by July 2022.

2. The applicants must have passed the GD Arts Diploma program (10+5) by July 2022.

3. Students who want to pursue the course from any recognized institute should need to have a minimum class of +10 or +12.

CEED Exam Application Fee

For all Women Candidates: INR 1600 + GST

For SC/ST/PwD Candidates: INR 1600 + GST

For all Other Candidates: INR 3200 + GST

CEED Exam Pattern

CEED exam pattern allows all aspirants to get a fair idea of the type of questions that may feature in the exam, marking scheme, the language of the exam, mode, and so on. It is pretty useful for candidates to have an understanding of the CEED exam pattern during preparation.

Common Entrance Exam for Design consists of two parts where part A is a computer-based test to evaluate candidates' visualization and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language and creativity, observation, and design sensitivity.

Candidates who will qualify in part A will be eligible to move further to appear for part B which is a drawing test evaluating candidates on drawing, creativity, communication skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills.

CEED 2022 Result

The CEED result has been released by the exam conducting authority for every exam participated candidate through online mode. Candidates are able to check the result on 8th March 2022 by entering their registered Email Id and password into the website of the exam conducting authority.

The result contains the performance of candidates in the entrance exam and will be valid till the 2022-2023 session. Candidates will be advised to keep the result safe till the completion of the admission process.
