Overview
JIPMER UG or Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research offers undergraduate (UG) programs, including the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and various Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) courses. Admission to these courses is based on national-level entrance exams. JIMPER is an entrance exam conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. It is a national-level examination and is conducted twice a year.
For undergraduate admission to JIPMER's MBBS course, candidates must pass the NEET-UG exam and meet the eligibility criteria of a 12th-grade pass with specific science subjects. JIPMER, an institution of national importance, no longer conducts its own entrance exam, and admission to its medical courses is now entirely based on the NEET Score, followed by counseling and admission procedures conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee.
