Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India to offer admission to aspirants in Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD programmes.
The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
On the basis of a candidate’s score in the CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in the M.Des course at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and UPES Dehradun and PhD programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.

Eligibility Criteria for CEED
1. The Minimum Academic Qualifications for CEED 2025 required are Candidates must have completed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree programme of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level), or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program.
2. Candidates must complete their qualifying exam at the time of admission, or Candidates are required to pass the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July.
3. There is no prescribed age limit as per CEED eligibility criteria.
4. There is no limitation on the number of attempts for CEED.
Application Process
1. CEED registration form must be submitted Online only through the official website, www.ceed.iitb.ac.in
2. Candidates should simultaneously satisfy all three eligibility criteria [refer to eligibility criteria for appearing in CEED.
3. The normal registration fee is applicable till the regular closing date of registration.
4. A late fee of ₹ 500 is applicable to ALL candidates for registrations submitted after the regular closing date.
Application Form Fee
1. Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. Students applying for the CEED 2025 have to fill up the application form on the official site.
3. A student can submit the application only once; multiple forms will be rejected.

How do fill Application Form for the CEED?
Step-1: Students have to register for the Online Application Form. Login and Password are created.
Step-2: The student has to Complete the Application Form and its various sections.
Step-3: Required documents in the form of Scanned Images.
Step-4: Payments have to be made by Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI / PAYTM.
CEED Exam Pattern
The examination will consist of two parts; Part A and Part B. the applicant have to attempt questions from both parts. Part A contains objective type questions (MCQ, MSQ and NAT) and Part B consists of design and hand drawing type questions.
