The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to the BDes program at IITs. UCEED is a design entrance test conducted at the national level for both Indian and foreign students.
Fashion Design, Interior Design, Textile Design, Ceramic Design, Accessory Design, Game Design, Leather Design, Multimedia Design, Jewellery & Metalsmithing, Graphic Design, industrial Design, etc. The average starting salary is 2 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum for a bachelor's depending on the industry and skillset.

Eligibility Criteria for UCEED
1. Class 12th or equivalent cleared in any Stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities).
2. They must have a minimum aggregate of 55% to qualify for the program.
3. Age limit with General/Open/EWS/OBC-NCL category: born on or after October 1, 1998, SC/ST/PwD category: Born on or after October 1, 1993.
Admission Process
1. The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) opened the application form for UCEED in September, online mode.
2. Before filling out the application form aspirants must go through the UCEED eligibility criteria.
3. A candidate can take the UCEED exam a maximum of two times in a row.
4. UCEED score is only suitable for one year and only for admissions into the same academic year.

Awareness of design terminologies, social and cultural connection with the design, history of the designed artifact, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. Ability to analyze given information logically and select the most appropriate solutions. Ability to weigh opinions, arguments, or solutions against appropriate criteria.
