National Institute of Design (NID) is internationally acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. It is a statutory institute under the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
National Institute of Design (NID) has been recognised as an 'Institution of National Importance' by the Act of Parliament, by virtue of the National Institute of Design Act 2014. It is also recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.
The institute offers 16 courses at the UG, PG and doctoral levels. BDes and MDes are the popular courses offered by NID Ahmedabad. The Institute invites applications for several undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. In order to take admitted to mentioned courses, candidates will have to appear for NID Entrance Exams - DAT and DRT.

4. Admissions 2023-24 to PhD (Design) are open and the last date is extended to Jun 21.
