Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Ag Extension Education
1. B.Sc. (Hons.) with minimum 50% marks in any branches of Biological Sciences/ Agriculture/allied subjects, OR
2. B.Sc. (General: 3 years degree course) with minimum 60% marks in any branches of Biological Sciences/ Agriculture/allied subjects, OR
3. B.E./B. Tech. in Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks
4. In the case where Grade points are not awarded only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for the General/OBC/UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ST/DAC category.
Admission Process
1. Basic education of 10+2 from a recognised institution with any stream with 45-50% marks.
2. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
3. Some universities also conduct personal interviews before granting admission to the students.
Career after M.Sc Ag Extension Education
The course`s goal is to generate graduates who have the necessary information, skills, and attitudes for agricultural growth, as well as the ability to successfully transfer such abilities to farmers and other members of the public. The majority of their time is spent learning the fundamental sciences, humanities, workshop practice, engineering drawing, and general agriculture.
Students are expected to gain a broad understanding of extension theory, its application to modern agricultural issues and the competence to perform agricultural and rural development research using quantitative and qualitative approaches.
The students shall be taught the principle of practising research ethics, along with all the methodology. Research ethics for publishing and authorship, right to intellectual properties, right to privacy, and ethics on activism on agricultural-social contracts, and socio-economic issues are taught right from day one.
